Do I need to edit my theme?
No. Help Pilot installs as a Shopify app embed. Once you toggle it on in the theme editor, the launcher appears on every page. No Liquid, no JavaScript snippets, no developer.
Where does the AI get its answers from?
Directly from your store. Help Pilot uses the Shopify Admin and Storefront APIs to read your live products, variants, prices, store policies and (for verified shoppers) order status. There is no separate knowledge base to maintain.
What about customer data and privacy?
Conversations are stored against your shop so you can review them from the admin. Personal order data is only revealed after the shopper passes an email-based verification step, and is scoped to their browser session. See our privacy policy for details.
How much does it cost?
Help Pilot has a free plan to get you started. Paid tiers are available through Shopify's standard managed pricing if you need more messages or to remove branding. You'll see all of the options on the Billing page inside the app.
Does it support languages other than English?
Yes. Help Pilot detects the shopper's storefront locale and replies in that language automatically. The admin UI itself can also be switched to your preferred language from Settings.
Can I disable voice mode?
Voice mode is off by default. You can enable it per store from the admin Settings page, choose from several voices, and toggle it back off at any time.
